The THCP, or THC-P, or Δ9-Tetrahydrocannabiphorol is a phytocannabinoid discovered at the end of 2019 thanks to research conducted in Italy on cannabis plants. The research led by Professor Guiseppe Cannazza from the Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia accidentally highlighted two new cannabinoids: THCP, which this moonrock is extremely rich in, and CBDP.
In collaboration with the National Research Centre, Professor Cannazza's study was published in the "Scientific Reports" journal in 2019.

The THCP is a cannabinoid less abundant in the cannabis plant than the classic THC, but has recently become the target of scientific research in the medical field.
Cannabinoids act on the endocannabinoid system, a set of receptors present in the brain and in the central nervous system. THCP binds to the CB1 and CB2 receptors of the endocannabinoid system, just as THC does.
However, the Italian researchers who discovered THCP noted that this cannabinoid had an affinity for the CB1 receptors thirty times greater than that of THC, giving it a much greater potency.
